A busy Middletown family is seeking a part time (16 hours/week) nanny to care for their 5 month old son M, T, W, F 10:30am-2:30pm. Hours will increase in the summer through October to ~30 hours/week with childcare being done for both of their children (5 year old son as well). Hours then will include an evening (anytime Thursday-Saturday) 4pm-6 and a full day (sometime Friday-Sunday) 12pm until midnight. Dates will be shared in advance. Primary responsibilities with the baby include bottle feeding, diaper changes, nap times and educational enrichment. Folding and putting away the children's clothes will be an expectation as well. During the summer, responsibilities will also include preparing meals, tidying playroom, and indoor/outdoor play. The 5 month old is a happy baby who's working on sitting up and being introduced to some solids. The oldest boy is inquisitive, energetic and loves to be silly. Learning about animals/wildlife and doing pretend play are his favorite! The family is seeking a reliable, self-motivated and detail-oriented nanny to support their infant with a consistent nap schedule in the crib. The pay range for this position is $22-27/hour. Benefits being offered include guaranteed hours, 5-10 days of PTO and holidays will be off on the days you're expected to work! Being covid vaccinated is required for this position.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- College degree in education (special education or otherwise), child development or related field of study and/or three years of professional experience working/caring for children
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Ability to make a one-year commitment to a family
- Must pass a national criminal background check, including sex offender, driving record and verification of educational and employment credentials
- Eligible to work in the U.S.

In general, babysitters consider the job as a source of supplemental income. Individuals employed on an ongoing basis by one family are typically categorized as nannies. Nannies may provide light housework as well. You’ll perform the following duties as a babysitter or nanny through Peace of Mind Nannies:
1. Ensure safety of children at all times
2. Assist child in daily routines including but not limited to changing diapers, eating, dressing, brushing teeth
3. Create and supervise activities
