Full Job Description
The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is recruiting a full-time Associate Research Scientist to contribute to several ongoing longitudinal studies assessing breast cancer risk factors as well as an ongoing intervention study. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Associate Research Scientist will provide expertise in applicable public health disciplines to collect, abstract, code, analyze, or interpret scientific data contained within information systems and databases related to public health; analyze data for reports, presentations, and publications; develop tables and present understandable data output to multidisciplinary staff and grantees. S/he will provide oversight of data quality assurance and control; extensive data analysis; manuscript development; contribution to the development and implementation of research proposals; preparation and presentation of findings at conferences and meetings; and provide written reports as needed. S/he will perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Degree Required
A PhD in Biostatics, Epidemiology, or related field preferred.
Computer proficiency with excellent data management and data analysis skills are required as is extensive experience with SAS and Excel.
