The Subcontract Administrator / Manager performs the following in a Project Site Location contracting the Open Shop Subcontractor Environment:
Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards; viewed as consultant within the project.
Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity and scope that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.
Work performed under senior construction management’s direction toward construction project goals and objectives.
Project Subcontract consultant to construction management for project organization on highly significant subcontract matters.
Participates in and/or conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration and customer contact activities
Provides for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepares bids, processes specifications, progress, and other reports, advises management and project personnel of contractual rights and obligations
Implements contract modifications, data management and coordination with subcontractors
Reviews subcontractor bids for conformity to contract requirements
7-10 years’ experience in related role including:
Significant experience dealing with contractors in the construction project environment.
Self-starter to work in a Construction Project Site Environment with much experience dealing with subcontractors.
Experience creating a Subcontracting Plan and Manage Pre-qualification of potential Bidders.
Experience creating Request for Proposals for Subcontractors to perform Civil / Structural / Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, and other subcontracts as required.
Experience working in a Job Site environment with all levels of contracts management staff
Ability to negotiate initial Subcontract and post Award Subcontract Changes through the administration of the subcontract as they arise.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Expert level experience with Word / Excel Pivot Tables.
