Pay Range Based on Education, Experience: $9.18/hr to $15.03/hr

Are you a detail-oriented multitasker who enjoys working in an educational environment? We are looking for an Attendance Officer for our new campus in Brownsville, TX that will be opening for the 2018-2019 school year. You will be joining a growing network of charter schools across the state of Texas run by Student Alternatives Program, Inc. (SAPI).

The Attendance Officer provides assistance in understanding and applying required compulsory attendance laws under Section 25.085 TEC and resolving truancy, excessive absences, and tardiness problems. He/she helps take attendance at the school and operates as the charter schools contact with parents, law enforcement agencies and court personnel on matters relating to these problems. He/she also engages in dropout prevention activities working with students and parents to help students stay in school.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Certificate. Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree, or 48 college credit hours or higher preferred. Background or course work in criminal justice preferred. Texas certified process server or peace officer preferred. This position requires basic computer literacy.
