The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the completion of the day to day plant maintenance activities including all predictive & preventive maintenance and restorative maintenance activities. The position will be tasked with inspiring the Electrical Maintenance Organization to world class status by focusing on safe and productive workmanship to improve machine efficiency and utility. The position is expected to perform all of these activities while adhering to Freudenberg standards for safety, environmental awareness, quality, and other requirements of both internal and external customers. This position is also expected to take a leadership role in the overall Maintenance Department and drive a culture of Safety, Operational Excellence, and Accountability throughout the business.

Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
Your tasks
Supervise the day-to-day activities of the assigned maintenance group to ensure all organizational maintenance needs are addressed and completed in a safe and timely manner
Oversee the coordination between the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, Production, and Planning in the scheduling of maintenance PMs and other work orders for the Maintenance Electricians
Provide and sustain a safe work environment in accordance with all US and Freudenberg Safety requirements through implementation and development of safe procedures
Provide training & guidance to others on preventative & predictive maintenance strategies and CMMS systems
Provide skilled electrical maintenance support to assist in troubleshooting, determining equipment malfunctions, and applying instrumentation skills to repair & restore equipment to operation
Assist in performing root cause failure analysis to eliminate repetitive failures or chronic electrical maintenance needs
Participate in identifying and implementing effective maintenance strategies for new assets
Assist in analyzing data, trends, and failure reports to determine equipment criticality, develop preventative & predictive maintenance schedules, and balance spare parts inventories
Assist in installations, repairs, and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems including but not limited to PLCs, PCs, Power Distribution, Drives, and Test Equipment
Maintain Company-required performance and maintenance records
Perform scheduled Weekend On-Call duties as well as scheduled Production PMs and Project Outages

Our expectations
7+ Years of industrial maintenance experience working in a manufacturing environment, prior experience in Extrusion or Plastics Processing is a plus
Two-year technical degree in Industrial Electricity, Electronics, or related field preferred
Certificate in PLC, Electricity, Hydraulics, Pneumatics or Industrial Maintenance is required
Instrumentation and controls experience required
Knowledge and training in NFPA 70E electrical safety
Electrical license or ability to obtain
PLC, HMI and AC drive experience required, Siemens is a plus
Ability to manage and participate in projects of various size and scope including ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines. Experience using Microsoft Project management software is a plus
Ability to effectively lead in-house electricians and outside contractors to complete necessary electrical work
Ability to coordinate with people in cross functional areas, and adapt to rapid change.
Experience in industrial networking with Ethernet, Profibus, and Profinet
Ability to program and trouble shoot PLC/HMI Systems
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must be willing to take "on call" coverage and work flexible, non-traditional hours
Proven ability to resolve complicated technical problems, identify root causes, and creatively resolve issues
Good command of basic math, reading and writing is a must
Must interact well with all levels of personnel both internally and externally
Excellent sense of safety awareness and good housekeeping
Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck and Arial Lift Equipment certification
Position is located in Durham, NC
Exposure to high voltage electricity, heavy equipment and moving machinery, as well as forklift traffic, requires a high degree of safety consciousness
Work environment may include exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, chemicals, and fumes
Pressure of shifting priorities and demanding schedules is routine
Working hours may fluctuate when assigned shift or weekend schedules change
Reports to Engineering Manager
Travel less than 10%
