Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area or field or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an On-Site Systems Support Specialist to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to create and manage various General Dynamics Mission Systems and client technologies. Advanced Systems Engineers analyze, design, develop and test General Dynamics Mission Systems systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Additional Responsibilities include formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; selecting systems architecture; and preparing specifications for General Dynamics Mission Systems operating systems to ensure designs meet applicable security specifications. These individuals may also be asked to document security on both new and fielded information systems or provide accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features are considered and functioning properly.

The On-site System Support Specialists will provide on-site support at a designated customer location to sustain and perform system support task for a real word, real-time, system information data gathering and analysis system. The selected candidate will also interface directly with system users to capture and resolve system performance problems.
Position: On-site System Support Specialists:
A wiliness to become a MAAS Field Service Representative (FSR) responsible for providing on-site technical support to MAAS exploitation systems
On-site first and second tier Information Technology (IT) system support experience in a high octane, rapid response, real world system support environment.
Experience providing engineering support as a member of a medium or small scale IT support team.
Experience providing customer engagement support in a high visibility, rapid response, IT system support environment
Experience applying server and software related configuration changes to operational deployed IT systems.
Experience providing patch, firmware, and software upgrade support to customer sponsored application components.
Experience utilizing government sponsored IT tickets system sustainment management systems.
Experience navigating and supporting customer sponsored technical meetings, designed to oversee the operational state of deployed systems.
The ability to multi task and transition support activities between multiple systems and across different IT system disciplines; based on the direction and requirements of the customer and system user community.
Support tasks require the candidate operate as a member of a larger on-site support team, working collectively with team members to meet operation requirements of multiple systems.
Candidate will interact and work in conjunction with a larger 24x7 on-site support team promoting cross system support collaboration.
A wiliness to work in an on-call, 24-hour response, system support environment.
Ability and wiliness to work a rotating Panama 24x7 support schedule comprise of day, night, and rotating weekend shift support.
Work collectively with a broader on-site system sustainment team comprise of System Engineering and other FSR team members
A wiliness to mentor and cross train new additions to the engineer team when needed
Update and track system support tasks and activities using tools and documents providing by the customer
Be a liaison for system users, capturing critical system performance feedback presented by the customer and ensuring that information is presented to engineer management for dissemination to key system stake holders
Preferred Degree Types and Experience:
Experience providing workstation IT support for Window 7 and Window 10 operating system
Experience sustaining and supporting MS 2008 – 2016 Window Server Operating Systems
Support the following OS and software: MS Windows 7 and XP Workstations, Windows 2003 and 2008 Server Administration, Active Directory, MAAS (Multi-int Analysis and Archive System), MS Office Suites, Adobe Suites, Corel Paint Shop Pro, Sensor Systems Remote View Pro ELT, Symantec Anti-Virus, Veritas Back-up Exec, Easy CD Creator, Mozilla, and Internet Explorer Web Browsers
Report information through weekly site communications group meetings, weekly status reports, and monthly logs to team members and GDMS management
Knowledge of the imagery exploitation life-cycle, and various imagery systems
A deep understanding of video encoding technology to include MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and H.264 formats
An understanding of Geo-Coordinate and positioning object tracking and monitoring technology
Experience managing large volumes of data
Experience identifying IT System related problems and submitting tickets to request support from Enterprise Architecture Entities
The ability to prioritize IT problems based on their impacts to mission operations at site
The ability to articulate IT problems with other team technicians to promote communication and coordination across diverse Software and Hardware system support elements
Shows a wiliness to work directly with customers face to face to address and resolve system related issues
Demonstrates a wiliness to provide support to customers in a real world high stress support environment
Demonstrates good communication skills and uses those skills to gather user information concerning the operational state and performance of our system
