UI Lead Artist

Turn 10 Studios, the creators of the top selling and critically acclaimed Forza franchise, has an exciting opportunity for a UI Lead Artist to join our studio. This role involves leveraging game design knowledge and artistic ability to design appealing and holistic solutions to UI/UX problems. . It will also require a strong background in the technical aspects of the craft in order to best inform and drive towards the best workflow experience possible.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: scheduling the team, reviewing work for quality, advising on toolsets and pipelines, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, and resolving issues.

Ability to create and execute high quality UI art assets consistent with the visual style laid out by the Presentation Director
Work with our tech art and tools team to identify areas to develop in our authoring tools and pipeline environment
Create wireframes, storyboards, user and process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
Work closely with the art team to integrate UI art assets into the game using our proprietary engine
Document and disseminate procedures and style guides to the other UI artists and engineers
Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
Maintains a clear and consistent schedule in conjunction with the Project manager and Presentation Director
Mentor junior artists in both artistic and technical techniques
Qualifications
BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or similar
5+ years Senior UI Artist role or similar for published AAA titles
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
Experience with Interactive design/UX (mobile/web/flash)
Experience with animation/motion graphics
Strong understanding of graphic design (layout/composition, typography, iconography, and copywriting)
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire framing tools
