Anytime Fitness Los Angeles Group is rapidly expanding and bringing the #1 Fitness brand in the world (over 4,500 locations) to the LA market with plans for over 20+ new clubs in the next 3-5 years. This role can lead to a full-time salary + commission + bonus opportunity including management positions paying up to 100K per year!
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Membership Counselor has overall responsibility for ensuring all Anytime Fitness Los Angeles members receive guidance, motivation and an exceptional customer service experience. In pursuit of this, the Membership Counselor will promote, implement and practice the programs, products, policies, and procedures pertaining to the Sales, Fitness, and Operations Departments, and ensure club cleanliness and operations are at an exceptional level.
Membership Counselors have monthly sales targets and must be self-starters, self-motivated, and enjoy networking and talking to everyone!! Must have great phone skills, organization skills, follow-up skills, and closing skills. Must be able to build value in fitness and Personal Training, and gain referrals and self-generate business.
DUTIES
- Hold the safety and needs of the members, guests, and staff above all else.
- Generate Leads from within and outside of the club on a daily basis
- Take Telephone Inquiries, Web Leads, Club Tours, and sell memberships & Personal Training
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Attend all required meetings/training for Club Staff
- Occasionally perform fitness assessments and orientations
- Enhance knowledge through continuing education to build skills
- Enforcement of club policies, rules, and regulations
- Manage daily schedule to complete all sessions, appointments, and duties in a prompt, accurate and timely manner
- Counsel and guide members using the 4 Pillars of Fitness: Nutrition, Movement, Supplementation and Professional Assistance, in a manner consistent with their goals
- Present a healthy lifestyle and fitness professionalism at all times
- Have a thorough understanding of overall club systems and operations and enforce procedures and policies
- Participate in “Team Cleans” on every shift and actively take part in maintaining club cleanliness
- Utilize and promote only Anytime Fitness Los Angeles Group approved supplements, nutrition programs, fitness gear, and equipment to all clients
REQUIRED SKILLS / PERSONAL TRAITS
- Outgoing, friendly and helpful demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, sales and fitness knowledge, and customer service skills
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills
- Physical effort required for daily duties includes lifting heavy weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting & prolonged standing and walking. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 45+ pounds
**Must be a Sales Professional - meaning you LOVE to sell, LOVE to talk to people, LOVE to make phone calls and generate new business, and are not afraid of rejection. Must have the ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced, high energy environment**
