OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Finance Manager is a key leadership role within the e-Commerce team that is responsible for modeling sales and profitability for fastest-growing retail channel. The individual will serve as the point person for ad hoc analysis leading to margin accretive sales growth. This individual will work closely with business unit leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate impacts of promotional activity, innovations and competitive impacts to market and share.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
eCommerce Strategy: Establish benchmark principles and KPIs based on industry standards to influence internal recommendations to enable Abbott to grow our leadership position within the channel. Provide internal recommendations to enable a profitable mix of business shifts to eCommerce optimizing Supply Chain and Marketing resources.
Deliver Meaningful Financial Forecasts: Translate Consumption forecast into a sales and shipment model taking into account price per equivalized unit ($/EQ) as well as inventory levels throughout the eCommerce channel. Understand, analyze and report $/EQ and inventory level changes to incorporate into financial forecast in a transparent manner. Foresee potential opportunities/risk and prepare contingency plans in advance.
Maintain an external outlook: Focus on internal and external impacts to our business and build forecasts not only for Abbott but also for main competitors. Understand how competitive actions drive sales for the competition as well as their impact to our sales, market, and share. Provide insights and projection to Investor Relations to drive conversation on growth expectations for Abbott and the market as a whole within the eCommerce channel.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior financial support in an e-Commerce team strongly preferred
Exceptional business partnering and strategic thinking skills
Strong analytical and problem–solving skills; ability to work across functions and organizations in a global environment
Excellent communication skills with all levels and functions; capable of presenting complex financial information in easy-to-understand formats and terms
Operate independently and adaptable to changing requirements
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 8+ years accounting and financial planning experience. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.

Proficient with financial modeling, systems, tools including Excel, and COGNOS

Open to future mobility strongly preferred
