Location- Pensacola, Florida

POSITION: Part-time Catering Banquet Server

DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage

REPORTS TO: Banquet Manager

Summary

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Part-time Catering Banquet Server position for SMG/Pensacola Bay Center. Responsible for serving food and beverage while providing excellent service to our guests. The work schedule is event driven and may require early morning, late night, and weekend shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities for this position are:

Providing excellent service to our guests.

Responsible for the set-up, service, and breakdown of all meal functions, receptions, and other related events.

Banquet server is required to be on time for each shift and in full uniform.

Required to ensure that the quality of their service is neat and consistent with the standards of the Pensacola Bay Center.

Required to follow the directions of captains, management, and preform the service skill required for each type of event.

Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the department and for the upkeep and proper handling of equipment.

Ensure that proper sanitation procedures are followed.

Any/all other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Must monitor areas the server is assigned to. No other supervisory responsibilities required.

Education and/or Experience

Experience in a food and beverage environment are required.

Skills and Abilities

Must have working knowledge of Food and Beverage operations including catering service standard procedures.

Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees.

Computer Skills

No computer skills required

Other Qualifications

Must have current ServSafe Certification.
