Our client operates a substantial design/build and maintenance landscape division and a 100- acre growing operation. Revenues from construction operations are in excess of $8 million per year and are generated from the finest neighborhoods in North Chicago and surrounding areas. The company employs leading edge technologies in support of their employees and takes a pro-active approach to staff development and performance based opportunities.The OpportunityOur client seeks an experienced and highly skilled Landscape Design/Build Salesperson who will be responsible for:• Develop, maintain, service and strengthen residential landscape design/build client relationships.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Collaboratively work with a team of Landscape Architects and designers to create unique design solutions that best fit client needs. Present and sell designs to clients for further collaboration with Project Managers on installations.
  • Consistently and regularly engage a client portfolio to strengthen relationships, ensure satisfaction, and maximize sales.
  • Build a client portfolio in order to increase market share by identifying prospective clients, generating referrals from new and existing clientele, exploring new markets and opportunities and prospecting for new clients.
  • Protect clients’ landscape investment by promoting maintenance services to new clients and prospects. Educate clients on all company services including locally grown plants from company owned farm, extensive outdoor décor and furnishings which are available through the retail lifestyle center, and other Signature offerings.Qualifications• Years of successful landscape design/build sales experience (residential preferred) providing expertly client services, creating inspiring design/build solutions, and built relationships.
  • A track record of consistent, swift, and reliable follow-up and follow-through with every customer inquiry, using the most appropriate method for the message (face-to-face meetings, phone calls or emails).
  • A landscape architecture degree (preferred) or four year degree in horticulture or related field.
  • Proven abilities to listen with empathy, manage leads, cultivate new business and maintain long term relationships.
  • A hunger for sales and a competitive spirit that is balanced with honesty and strong ethics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. CAD and CRM experience and abilities a plus.
