Cyber Defense at Micron is about one major guiding principal, protecting Micron’s Intellectual Property. The Micron Incident Response team is a key component in protecting Micron’s Intellectual Property.

The Cyber Security Incident Response Manager will be responsible to lead a skilled team of analysts that investigate and report on policy violations that include Intellectual Property (IP) theft. The IR team uses a lot of many tools to conduct their investigation and is needing someone to help champion and move the more repetitive task into automation. Cases for the IR team are not predictable and the team needs help with prioritizing cases as well as making sure cases are followed through to conclusion.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Own and drive a Cyber Defense IR processes and workflow
Set direction and goals for the team to achieve greatness
Build frameworks to move cases swiftly and accurately through the entire process.
Lead, manage and develop the team, using the Micron set of standard tools.
Inspire the team to achieve and drive better Security posture and detective capabilities
Communicate the status of ongoing cases to senior management.
Successful candidates for this position will have:
Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical people
Have an in-depth understanding in at least three of the following areas: Telecommunications, Network, and Internet Security; Operations Security; Risk and Compliance; Access Control Systems and Methodologies; Security Architectures and Models; Security Management Practices
Have general knowledge of the following areas: Applications and Systems Development; Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery; Cryptography; Law, Investigation, Ethics and Physical Security
Ability to react to high pressure dynamic changing environments
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Additionally, it’s preferred that candidates for this position have experience in the following:
2 years of experience in Information Security Management
3 years of experience in Information Security leadership roles
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration, criminal justice, or related discipline\
