Full Job Description
The Assistant Practice Manager will assist the Practice Manager in the day to day operations of the site. The Assistant Practice Manager will work to ensure the best environment for quality patient-centered care, while overseeing and coordinating all operations at the health center.
Duties and Responsibilities
Works directly with the Health Center Practice Manager, Providers and Lab to ensure a productive and efficient site.
Trains assigned staff, as necessary, to maintain efficient, effective, patient-centered clinical operations.
Will assist in creating and managing scheduling templates for all providers, in coordination with the Practice Manager.
Assists in development of, maintains knowledge of, and oversees adherence to, operational policies and procedures, as well as upholds and promotes human resources policies and procedures.
Fosters a professional working relationship among all members of the health care teams.
Assists team members to raise practice standards as put forward by the evolving model of patient-centered care.
Assists in developing, implementing, and carrying out educational/in-service programs and quality improvement programs and activities.
Participates in continuing education and professional growth.
Maintains inventory of clinical supplies, equipment, instrumentation, medications, and vaccines. Download and log Data information.
Performs front-line staff duties, when required.
Supervise Medical Assistant workflow.
Ensure all rooms are stocked and cleaned.
Other duties and responsibilities assigned.

1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must be able to move around the clinic site 50% of the time.
Constantly operates a computer, computer printer, copy machine, and telephone.
Occasionally positions self to maintain exertion of physical strength to move objects of 10 pounds from one level to another.
Must be able to transport from one site to another.
Must be able to cover other shifts as necessary.
Required Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure/Registration
One (1) to three (3) years of full-time experience, preferably in a primary care ambulatory setting.
High School diploma or its equivalent.
Satisfactory completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
Previous experience using an electronic health record preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Registered or Certified Medical Assistant recognition preferred.
Current CPR certification
Bilingual Spanish/English or Polish/English, strongly preferred.
