Martin County Schools is currently accepting substitute teacher applications from retired teachers and others who meet the requirements listed below.
Applicants who are retired teachers should attach a copy of their license to this application. Other applicants should attach their transcript(s), Effective Teacher Training certificate, and three signed letters of reference from current or past supervisors detailing the applicant's personal qualities, professional qualities, and/or general teaching traits which would help him/her to be an effective substitute teacher.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Requirements for Retired Teachers:
1. Proof of North Carolina Professional Educator's License, even if expired
Requirements for Those who are not Retired Teachers:
1. Effective Teacher Training
2. Associate's Degree or 48 semester hours of transferable college coursework
3. Three signed letters of reference from current or past supervisors detailing applicant's personal qualities, professional qualifications, and/or general teaching traits which would help him/her to be an effective substitute teacher.
