The Engineering Solutions Directorate of AMERICAN SYSTEMS Lexington Park office is seeking qualified Software Developer.The qualified candidate will develop shell scripts and support programs as needed in Linux environments. Interact as needed with OS and software product vendors. Provide Verification and Validation (V&V) support by evaluating Software Life Cycle Documentation to include but not limited to Software Requirement Specifications, Documents, and Test procedures.
The Lexington Park office is located approximately 60 miles south of Washington, DC on a beautiful peninsula surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay, Potomac River, and Patuxent River. Come to work in jeans and be casual!

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
3+ years of recent relevant work experience in software development
Experience in: C/C++/C#, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and UNIX Operating Systems
Experience with developing code for complex systems, architecture development, modeling and simulation, and distributed simulation
Excellent problem solving skills and a high level of initiative
Ability to understand performance requirements and turn them into technical requirements
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation
U.S. Citizenship is required
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance upon hiring
