True Fit, is looking for a data scientist - personalization to work in our downtown Boston headquarters.

What we do

The Data Science@True Fit team helps shoppers find apparel and footwear they will love and keep by providing relevant, personalized recommendations to our users. Our recommendation engines power our consumer facing products that are currently in the market as well as the exciting new products on our roadmap. We achieve this using an interesting dataset that includes billions of transactions, user registration data, product catalog information, images, text, and more.

What you will do

Data Science@True Fit is seeking a data scientist to improve our understanding of our users and shoppers in order to provide shoppers with relevant recommendations and help retailers and brands serve their consumers. In this role you will
Contribute to the personalization team to improve understanding of True Fit users/shoppers and their size data and shopping preferences to power various consumer and client facing products and our internal understanding of how people shop
Collaborate with data scientists, product and engineering teams to design and deliver data products and machine learning models to our production environment
Build user profiles from data using some combination of the following: understanding of human behavior, user research, machine learning, statistics, math, etc.
Demonstrate impact of user features/modeling on recommendation quality
Masters or Ph.D. (or equivalent experience) in a quantitative field
Experience solving data problems using quantitative tools (for example, one of: statistics, machine learning, survey analysis, etc.)
Experience working with real data: ability to query using a language such as SQL and experience making sense of imperfect data
Ability to write a program. Experience with Python or willingness to learn
