Job Purpose
The Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function is primarily responsible for providing strategic insights, management information and financial analysis to senior management in Global Wealth Management (GWM), Citi Private Bank (CPB) and Wealth at Work (WAW). This includes performance measurement, strategic presentations, business reviews, budget & forecasting and other value-added analysis. Within this framework, this FP&A leadership role plays an integral role in the full set of Long-Term Planning processes and related activities: Quarterly Multi-year Multi Scenario Forecast (QMMF), CCAR, Resolution Planning and Recovery Planning. This role will report to the GWM Products Lead Finance Officer.
Long-Term Planning Processes are critical regulatory requirements and capabilities for Citi. CCAR is the process by which the Federal Reserve assesses Citi’s capital adequacy and reviews Citi’s proposed capital actions. The FP&A function is responsible for the preparation of the QMMF and CCAR. The Long-Term Planning team is required to work with multiple stake holders in the business, FP&A, Treasury and Risk colleagues to coordinate and ensure the timely execution of all deliverables and the development and continuous improvement of the process.
This role acts as the Long-Term Planning Lead for CPB and WAW and requires interaction with senior stakeholders across the bank, including across business and functional areas to provide complete perspectives on franchise performance. This role also works closely with Long-Term Planning counterparts globally and represents GWM at many of the related forums and discussions.
Key Responsibilities
The CPB/WAW Long Term Planning Director is accountable for:

Ensuring strong linkage across CPB/WAW products and regions to translate regulatory and global requirements into actions. Acting as key liaison with PBWM and GWM to ensure issues are raised and resolved quickly and effectively. Coordinate across CPB business teams, products and regions on the QMMF and CCAR processes, timelines and requirements. Work closely with FP&A teams to drive forward looking planning projections necessary to deliver strong insights and controls around our long-term planning submissions.

Building out CPB/WAW Long-Term Planning team, leading the model development framework and process across CPB regions, including executing the CPB and WAW processes, as well as partnering with GWM FP&A more broadly to drive convergence of short term business planning and long term capital planning models. This also includes leading discussions with senior Finance and Business Leads on GWM’s model framework, engaging central treasury modeling team, business and regional teams on the implementation of the GWM models and working with the RUBY team to execute the new models into the RUBY platform.

Creating and developing CCAR and QMMF presentations to summarize key results across Wealth to senior management across Finance and the business. Leading business engagement with business heads ensuring understanding and engagement.

Coordinating and partnering with PBWM and Corporate PPNR and Transformation teams. Also acts as key liaison with other key stakeholders across Global planning teams, Risk, Treasury, Countries and Regional FP&A.

Ensuring senior management (CEOs, Product Leads and CFOs/LFOs) are well informed of requirements, progress and results in relation to long term planning processes. Participate in reviews with regulators as required.

Manage existing and newly developed models through Model Risk Management (MRM) processes and documentation and act as the liaison with MRM as needed.

Providing ownership and oversight of the RUBY platform used for long term planning. RUBY is an econometric driver-based forecasting tool used for revenue and balance sheet forecasting. The team develops and provides RUBY expertise and is responsible for the platform management and maintenance, as well as necessary training to FP&A team members.

Ensuring continuous improvement and governance in the design and implementation of the long-term planning processes across CPB/WAW and partner with GWM FP&A as well as the regional Citigold finance teams to drive best practices, simplification and standardization.

Leading team to enable completion of above responsibilities along with the other long-term planning-related activities.
