In this newly created position, you will have the opportunity to provide a broad range of support to our IT department. This is an ideal opportunity to move your career toward managing day-to-day IT operations. Reporting to the IT Director and acting as their back up, you will assist in management of our IT network by providing effective organization and prioritization of large volumes of information. You will handle highly confidential and non-routine information, act as project manager for projects and independently field and respond to internal and external inquiries.
The Information Technology department sits in WRI’s Operations Team,. It is a core part of the Global Operations Team, providing support for WRI’s IT infrastructure across its network of global offices. This person will have a US focus but may also support WRI International Offices.
Improve performance of the support desk and the maintenance of critical systems and services
Work towards the standardization and communication of processes and procedures
Maintain and align Active Directory, Azure, O365 User Profile information related interoperable systems
Apply a high degree of creativity to achieve big solutions through cost-effective strategies
Ensure compliance at all levels of operations
Globally manage and decrease risk associated with the protection of physical and electronic assets
Support Help Desk in asset management tasks, order processing and workflow
Coordinate employee onboarding/off-boarding/modifications across business verticals
Ensure quality control and data integrity across the technology stack
Assist in promotion and adoption of WRI systems
Coordinate IT responses to any audit requests, such as financial, accreditation, and technical
Support Electronic Content Management (ECM) administration including IT Intranet content management
Research and procure related products
Maintain global phone and video conferencing systems
Other tasks as necessary
Minimum of two years of relevant, full-time experience in information technology
Bachelor’s degree required with coursework or training in information technology or another relevant field preferred
In-depth knowledge of Office365 and related network software
Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Mac operating systems
Previous experience with Meraki SD WAN networking configuration preferred
Strong organization and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with minimal supervision
