Full Job Description
The Client Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing device management solutions and technologies at Seattle Genetics, as part of the Enterprise Services group.
This role is accountable for the design and implementation of enterprise-wide device management services for all client device types across the environment. They will be responsible for implementing integrations and automated provisioning services to provide a modern, scalable and reliable device management platform.
This team is additionally responsible for all operational activities related to the services provided, including monitoring, support and pre-emptive system maintenance and remediation.
Develop and maintain client configurations using Microsoft Intune and JAMF
Design and implement software packaging and anti-virus configurations for end-point systems
Collaborate with I.T. Security to establish and implement end user security settings
Collaborate with support teams to develop and optimize OS deployment and automated build processes
Monitor the performance of managed systems, take appropriate action for critical issues and develop long term recommendations for recurring issues
Diagnose Intune/JAMF deployment issues and perform root cause analysis
Create and maintain documentation relative to configuration, processes, and service records
Build OS images as needed
Create application packages for deployment with a focus on quality and reliability
Management of all relevant OS types, including, but not limited to, Windows 10, iOS, iPadOS, MacOS, Android
Implement automation where possible to remove ongoing manual processes
Perform research on relevant technology products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the industry
Resolve user requests and incidents, and support end-user communication and training
Other duties as assigned by organization leadership
5 years of IT experience, with at least 2 year of experience in the Client Engineering field
At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Intune
Hands on experience with JAMF desirable
Demonstrated ability to perform systems management using PowerShell
Proficient in client Operating System management, configuration and implementation
Deep understanding of Windows 10, its configuration options and capabilities
Strong knowledge of Apple iOS, iPadOS, MacOS
Solid understanding of Azure AD, Active Directory, group policies, WMI
Ability to conduct research across a wide range of computing areas
to identify and resolve operating system and application software issues
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related technical or scientific discipline OR equivalent experience
Relevant certifications highly desired
