Primary Responsibilities:
The VTL Senior machinist will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of setting up, turning, and machining large complex rings. The ideal candidates should have experience working with machined parts up to 220” in diameter. This role is tasked with working in concert with other machinists, quality, and engineering teams to develop and implement new manufacturing processes on new state of the art equipment. Relocation assistance available.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Candidates must have Experience setting up and running large (220" diameter) rings
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Understanding of GD&T
- Understanding of AS9100 and Aerospace quality expectations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Complete understanding of Set up and Turning of large (85"-220") stainless steel rings
- Ability to lead a team of machinist
- Programming of turn parts up to 220” in diameter a Plus
