Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of products to customer using a commercial vehicle.
Assist in meeting customer deadlines for collections and deliveries in an efficient manner.
Verify shipper, consignee, pieces, and weight of all shipments upon delivery.
Responsible for maintaining company vehicles at the beginning and end of shift to ensure they are in good working order.
Assist in warehouse duties (loading, unloading, preparations).
Qualifications:
Requires at least one (1) year of equivalent driver/delivery experience.
Class B license with CDL is required.
Must be familiar with the Airport Cargo locations at LAX airport.
Experience in the logistics industry, preferred, but not required.
Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of reading address labels, completing necessary paperwork, following special delivery instructions and company SOPs. Ability to read maps and navigation systems.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detailed instructions.
Must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs..
Must be willing to have a flexible work schedule including weekends when required and overtime when necessary.
Clean driving record, successfully complete background check and drug testing.
