Function & Responsibility
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Shipping and Warehouse Lead with distribution experience. This positing will be in charge of overseeing the shipping/receiving of incoming and outgoing materials. The Warehouse Lead I will assist in managing overstocked products, receiving material into the ERP system (Microsoft AX) and checking orders for accuracy.
Supervises a team of warehouse workers that perform various general warehouse functions. The warehouse lead is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of warehouse operations function smoothly.
This key position is responsible for providing clear direction to others while driving teamwork, safe handling of company merchandise, evaluating and making repairs to material and meeting department quality and productivity metrics.
Manage outgoing shipments to customers to ensure excellent outbound traffic management resulting in on-time delivery to the customer
Proactively investigate all potential shipments prior to their availability, taking all necessary steps to ensure that no traffic related delays in shipment occur
Assist in supervising daily activities in the warehouse, specifically in the shipping/receiving department
Maintain appropriate inventory levels and product loss control
Assist with supervising and training warehouse personnel on delivery procedures, safety, loading requirements, customer service and cost standards
Maintain shipping related documents including:
Bills of Lading (BOL)
Packing List (PL)
All other shipping related paperwork
Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment
Follow proper shipping and receiving protocol
Efficiently pull, pack, strap, and stage orders
Check incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy
Receive incoming material into ERP system (Microsoft AX)
Assist with inventory management and control as well as overstock material management
Learn product specifications
Inspect forklifts and warehouse equipment daily and report any issues to warehouse manager
Safely operate stand-up reach and sit-down forklift
Attend all safety meetings and uphold all warehouse safety protocol and instruction
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Experience with shipping consumer goods to national retailers required
Strong lead and individual contributor skills
Excellent Computer Skills & Detail Oriented

Able to work under regular daily pressures and meet time sensitive deadlines
Close attention to details and high level of accuracy
Excellent attendance at current or previous employment

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience
Minimum 2 year of Lead experience

50% of the work is performed in an office type environment. 50% of the work is performed by traveling to and from actual and potential customer sites. A variety of travel methods utilized including air and car. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Requires the individual to work at a desk on a computer for an extended period of time with periods of time in which they will have to move around the office for interaction with others. Requires interaction with others via the telephone for extended periods of time.
Requires light physical effort such as stopping and bending, and occasional lifting of lightweight objects (up to 25 pounds). The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
