Position Overview:
As a Field Services Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our clients in the field. Your main duties will include troubleshooting technical issues, validation / qualification services, making needed repairs, calibration, preventative maintenance and other related equipment services. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong technical knowledge, and exceptional customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide after-sales support to customers.
- Ability to maintain appropriate status with respect to DOT regulations, travel requirements, and governmental access to provide service and repairs where needed.
- Ability to demonstrate clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Perform administrative duties and complete special projects in support of the VPATS, Field Service Coordinator, and After-Sales Operations Specialist.
- Ability to support all Memmert USA team members, whereas technical and/or customized product information/services are needed.
- Ability to attend tradeshow or service training events sponsored by Memmert USA as required.
- Continued education will be provided to maintain technical and mechanical skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Required, Associate Degree Preferred
- Basic knowledge of circuit boards, fuses, processors, electronic equipment, and computer hardware
- Compressor certification and/or experience is a plus
- Minimum 2 to 5 years in a related field and/or equipment service experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position that may require working outside of regular business hours, including some evenings and weekends. You will primarily work in laboratories, hospitals, and industrial facilities, visiting client sites, and occasionally work from our office or remotely.
- Domestic travel required up to 70%. International travel for training will be required. This would include ~2 weeks of international travel every fourth year, or as needed / directed.
Compensation:
- Bonus: up to $5k
- $1K Sign-on bonus
