General Summary: This role will provide high-level administrative support and provide assistance to print, ship deliver, and pick up bulk supplies, manuals and equipment daily to support the needs of the Training Officers and meet the growing demand for training in all FDA program areas.
Essential Job Functions:

Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; determines efficient shipping method; selects appropriate shipping container; pack items to ensure safe delivery.

Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slips to verify accuracy of shipment.

Sort, count, package label, insure, unpack and/or log inventory items shipped or received at the end of everyday.

Inspect shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages or defects.

Deliver and pick up items to and from staff requesting team and obtain authorized signatures for accepted items.

Shall maintain departmental database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records every day.

Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety and environmental standards.

Other related duties as assigned.
Education Requirement: High School Diploma
Experience Requirement: Minimum two (2) years of general experience, of which one (1) year is directly related.
Other Requirement(s): This position requires U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card holder and the ability to obtain and maintain a Government public trust level security clearance. For a candidate that is a Green Card holder, they must have lived in the United States for at least three out of the past five years prior to your application date. You will also meet the residency qualifications if you lived abroad while on government or military duty or if you were a dependent of a federal employee of military member.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Work performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and customers.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Must be able to remain in stationary position for extended periods of time. Stress can be triggered by multiple demands and deadlines.
