Our Aviation Technical Excellence Center provides engineering and planning services for airports facilities, terminals and supports WSP's projects around the world. The Aviation team works on multiple projects simultaneously, in close coordination with other technical departments. WSP is currently initiating a search for an Aviation Project Engineer for our Philadelphia, PA office. The Role: As a result of our expanding Aviation practice, we have an immediate opportunity for an Aviation Project Engineer to work in our Philadelphia office. The candidate must be capable of analyzing all technical aspects of the subject area, defining the scope and selecting problems for investigation, developing novel concepts and approaches. The successful candidate will perform technical tasks in multi-disciplinary project teams. The candidate will be responsible for civil and aviation related design tasks from small to large scale projects. Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University or College
At least 11 years of Civil Engineering experience at airports, preferred.
Candidate shall be able to develop and prepare contract documentation at all stages of the project.
Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Pennsylvania
Strong oral and written communication skills in English, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present information to clients, other staff and management
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Understanding of scope, schedule and budget
Participates in the development and application of concepts and techniques
Serve as a technical lead on aviation projects
Prepares internal reporting documentation
Participates in client development and relations activities including meetings, conferences and other industry events
Travel within the Northeast region will be required
Valid driver's license, must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy
