OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
Responsible for the design, development, facilitation and coordination of department and management training programs for the medical group and corporate projects.
Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.
Designs and develops training documentation, manuals and training performance evaluations.
Organizes and presents training on management practices for both technical and soft skills.
Conducts “train-the-trainer” and mentor programs.
Delivers training programs to individuals, small and large groups.
Facilitates and coordinates workshops.
Consults to management teams.
Participates in Work Process Improvement initiatives.
Performs skill assessments.
Performs training needs assessments.
Receives and evaluates feedback to identify training opportunities and ongoing improvements to department programs.
Serves as a resource to HCP clients.
Provides supervision for department projects and staff.
Writes and administers policies and procedures as requested.
Provides procedural and service training to new hires and existing staff.
Travels to training sites as requested.
Participates in meetings and committees as requested.
Uses, protects, and discloses HCP patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-year college.
Over 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.
Management training experience.
Project management experience.
Experience in software/applications support or training environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proficient in course and instructional design.
Proficient in creating training materials and documentation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to transfer knowledge to clients with diverse cultural backgrounds, educational experiences and learning styles.
Valid CA driver’s license, insurance and vehicle for work-related travel.
