Technical Analyst Associate
GCSOM Scranton Campus
With management direction, analyzes and responds to user requests of new developments and system modifications. Assists in designing technical solutions to information problems and developing project plans and estimates. Performs technical tasks related to project completion, including problem analysis, program development and testing, documentation, and implementation. Occasionally performs project management and coordination functions.
Works under the supervision of a Director, Program Director or management designate.
Competencies and Skills:
Demonstrated excellent communication skills and must be able to work effectively in a team environment as well as interface with other departmental groups, end users, and professional staff required.
Demonstrates a good working knowledge of all latest Microsoft operating systems, PCs and related peripherals, and an understanding of Client / Server applications.
Demonstrates knowledge of programming/scripting, databases (MS SQLServer in particular), and IIS required..
Education and or Experience:
Associate's degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; or technical diploma / technical certification in a field related to the position required.
In lieu of degree or certification, minimum of three years of full time experience in a related information technology/application/user support role required.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Work is typically performed in an office environment.
