This customer service representative position is a public face of the company and is responsible for dealing with any and all customer questions about the products and services Advantage Gear offers. The hired candidate is expected to be continuously updating their knowledge of the company products, services and policies. Advantage Gear is a drug and fragrance free employer.

  • Assist Operations Manager and/or Store Manager as directed/needed/requested
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and, provide exceptional customer in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Answer all incoming telephone calls within 3 rings - be pleasant, courtesy, think quick on your feet and be to the point
  • Greet and acknowledge customers upon entry into the store
  • Ability to engage and interact with all levels of agency personnel (from officers and firefighters to chiefs)
  • Improving engagements with merchandise and providing courteous, friendly and exceptional customer to service
  • Receive incoming merchandise
  • Provide customers with status on orders
  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor
  • Directing customers to merchandise, introducing promotions or cross-selling products.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory and restocking shelves; and returning merchandise or try-ons to appropriate store locations
  • Ensuring all merchandise is properly tagged with price and information
  • Assisting with housekeeping duties (including cleaning bathrooms; emptying trash, keeping showroom clean, vacuumed)
  • Fitting customer with uniforms
  • Learning products offered in-store
  • Learning and becoming knowledgeable of products offered through catalog (coveralls; rain gear, etc)
  • Learning and becoming knowledge on uniform specs for different departments and/or agencies
  • Assist with out going shipping
  • Other duties as assigned
