MCS is seeking a Business Analyst to join our project team. Our Business Analyst will work alongside other business analysts, business operations staff, and application development team members. Main tasks include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some end-to-end and user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Business Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Act as an interface between the clients, development team and the development support team
  • Formulate and define the objectives and scope of business systems
  • Work on solutions supporting multiple business areas, integration points
  • Contribute to the solution design process and evaluate the business value of proposed solutions
  • Analyze and assess the value delivered by a solution
  • Perform business analysis and process improvement within assigned solution project
  • Provide developmental suggestions to the company and improving operational efficiency of the company
  • Plan, estimate, and manage the requirements portion of a project to ensure timely completion
  • Work with key stakeholders (customers and business operations) to elicit, interpret, organize, and document requirements
  • Prepare the requirements specifications
  • Manage "scope creep" during the requirements process
  • Manage requirements over their complete life-cycle
  • Develop and document a business case
  • Work with the continuous improvement team to analyze, document, and decompose business processes in support of process improvement/technology initiatives
  • Support the testing process when necessary
  • Executing test scenarios and test scripts
  • Support UAT and end-to-end testing when necessary
  • Work with QA function to ensure test efforts adequately cover requirements

Requirements and Competencies:

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis and/or requirements management
  • 2+ years in the field services and/or property preservation industry as a requirements/business analyst
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine best solutions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to document complex business processes and handle all types of client requests
  • Experience leading and facilitating requirements and process analysis meetings
  • A track record of following through on commitments
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and self-driven with an ability to work independently with a minimum of oversight
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications - Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Experience developing and managing requirements in support of multiple development methodologies/SDLC's including agile, waterfall
  • Experience with one or more requirements management tools
  • Knowledge of business process modeling techniques, methods, and tools
  • Knowledge of data modelling techniques


  • A Bachelor's degree in business or related field highly preferred
  • Certified Business Analysis Professionals (CBAP™) certification is a plus
