What You'll Be Doing:
Serve as the local initial point of contact for human resources matters in the US and liaise with employees at all levels
Contribute to continuously refining and improving global and local HR processes and services to support a successful HR department that is executing in alignment with Tradeshift strategy, vision and budget
Administer local HR processes, operations and data entries
Manage employee on-boarding and off-boarding, including new hire paperwork, data entry/systems setup, document check, background checks, exit interviews, severance agreements etc.Provide timely, accurate and legally compliant guidance on HR topics
Assist managers in performance management discussions, employee relations issues, discipline matters, and promotion/transfer/termination discussions and completion
Help implement programs which foster sound employee relations and increase employee engagement and retention, including training and communication related to this
Help drive any change management efforts and initiatives in the local offices in alignment with global directions
Support immigration and relocation processes
Oversee HR Audits & Compliance processes
Update and create documentation to reflect our global policies
Ensure local legal compliance in all HR related matters, including but not limited to local handbooks, employment contracts and local perks and benefits.
Support and champion the desired Tradeshift culture and defined values and any communication and initiatives related to implementing/maintaining our values in all aspects of local HR.Additional duties that fall into the scope of providing HR support to the local US office and remote US employees

About you:
You are action and results-oriented, enjoy tackling challenges with a sense of urgency and are excited to create new systems in an unstructured environment
You have sharp business acumen, experience in start-up environment preferred
3+ years of experience as an HR professional supporting diverse client groups
Functional knowledge of HRIS; Atlas, Sage People and Workday experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree (major or heavy coursework in HR preferred) + SHRM certification
You have a genuine passion for working with employees and managers in solving and proactively preventing problemsKnowledge of US employment law, current legislation, and current HR practices
