We are looking for a high-energy Data Analytics professional to help the Individual Solutions Group Business Intelligence team support our business partners in the development and expansion of our data analytic activities. The role requires a rare combination of deep and sophisticated analytical expertise; business acumen; strategic mindset; client, relationship, and project management; and a passion for building new capabilities. Integrate large data sets, connecting data from disparate sources to identify insights and patterns using traditional as well as predictive and prescriptive analytics. Source, scrub, and join relevant public, commercial, and proprietary data sources
Conduct statistical analysis and key driver analyses, such as linear regression, ANOVA, time-series analysis, classification and segmentation models, decision trees, and analysis of unstructured data (e.g., social media listening, digital footprints, speech analytics)
Mine data to uncover patterns and to identify business trends and new opportunities for using analytics and data visualization
Develop and maintain consultative relationships with key business stakeholders
Summarize analytical findings and present written and verbal reports to key stakeholders, communicating with both technical and non-technical team members
Apply knowledge of Prudential’s businesses and relevant industry knowledge to analysis and insights, with a focus on “what it means” and actions to consider
Manage project plans and timelines to ensure projects are delivered with the highest quality and on time
Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline. Graduate degree preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in data analytics, market research or quantitative modeling
Experience analyzing large data sets using software, such as SAS, Python or R, applying a variety of business analytics and statistical techniques such as regression, discriminant analysis, cluster analysis, CART, and CHAID segmentation. Experience with Hadoop desired
Excel and PowerPoint a must. Programming experience strongly desired.
Prior experience performing root cause and key driver analysis, analyzing unstructured data, and data visualization is highly desirable
Prior academic and work experience in Business Intelligence, with exposure to data structures and data visualization
Well-developed written and oral communication skills, with ability to present and explain data to business managers
Strong project management skills/experience managing projects and schedules to successful completion
Strong analytical and problem-solving, written, and oral presentation skills
Conceptual thinker; able to discover patterns in large and seemingly unconnected data sets
Commitment to developing consultative client relationships
Highly motivated self-starter

Some prior exposure to financial services or insurance industry desired
