Binkley & Barfield is seeking a talented, team-focused Roadway Design Graduate Engineer (EIT) to join our Austin and Round Rock offices. Your technical knowledge, relationships, and team-focused approach will enhance our mission to listen and respond to our clients’ needs while earning their trust with quality engineering solutions. Roadway Design Graduate Engineer Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in State DOT and/or local government roadway design
  • Microstation and working knowledge of InRoads and/or OpenRoads software
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited United States located university
  • Graduate Engineers without EIT must have the ability to obtain Texas EIT licensing within 6 months or hiring (no exceptions)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Roadway Design Graduate Engineer Position Overview:

  • Performs engineering assignments under direction of a licensed engineer
  • Provides support to the professional engineering staff in the development of roadway and drainage plans and design.
  • Performs routine aspects of civil engineering assignments such as grading, drainage, paving, geometric design, utility design, etc.
  • Applies prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment.
  • Problem solving and project delivery specialist capable of making rapid decisions with input from senior staff
