Provides specialized advice to assigned area in the applications of systems analysis to operational and functional problems. Accountable for the maintenance of existing user systems and the development of new systems to meet user needs. Responsible for planning, implementing, supporting, and optimizing projects related to Information Systems, informatics, and applications within the health system. Participates in the development of workflows, system configuration, change documentation, communication, optimization, maintenance, testing, validation, implementation, and support of staff on application functionality. . Carries out needed analyses either pro-actively or in response to user requests. Ensures regular reviews and maintenance of existing systems. Oversees the development of user documentation (instructions for using the systems) and informatics systems documentation (instructions for system design/set up). Works with Informatics management to ensure systems are in line with overall informatics policies and standards. Is responsible for client satisfaction with regard to all performed activities. Work with software vendors, applicable departments, and IS staff to maintain systems interfaces.
Analyze partner’s business, and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software.
Technical or bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
Prefer experience (2 plus years) healthcare information system
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Proficient with Windows Operating Systems preferred
Project Management skills preferred
Report writing skills preferred
Maintains valid licensure/certification/registration
