The Mining Sales Engineer will report to our Sales Manager and will be tasked with achieving agreed sales targets by developing, maintaining and managing new business within the company's mining product line throughout the region. They will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Selling, marketing and promoting all the services and products offered by the company within the mining industry
Demonstrating the benefits of the company's product line to customers, ensuring the proper selection and application of product through on-site visits at surface or underground mines
Ensuring sales forecasts and budgets are achieved
Managing existing and new accounts, ensuring a superior level of customer service and satisfaction
Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the region and, in particular, customer needs and requirements
Preparing documentation and submissions for Tenders, Expressions of Interest and Requests For Information
Representing the company in industry events and tradeshows and collaborating with Marketing and other internal stakeholders to prepare for such events
Identify opportunities at designated mine sites where users can improve utilization, productivity, efficiency and/or value from our products.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position will have no supervisory responsibility.

Minimal overnight travel involved in this role.


A technology or Bachelor's degree in a mining or engineering discipline strongly preferred
Experience in technical sales with a successful track record preferred
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Mining industry required; this may include surface and/or underground mining, including mills, but surface experience on Shovels and Haul trucks in the hard rock industry is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal resources to resolve various equipment/lubricant related issues.
Established network in the mining industry preferred.
High level of personal drive and self-motivation with strong time management and prioritization skills.
A passion for achieving business goals and sales targets
Ability to set day to day priorities within overall priority listing, working independently and as part of a team.
Unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship including immediately reporting and mitigating spills and other environmental impacts.
Current & valid driving license required
