Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field, plus two (2) years of experience as a Network Engineer or in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities.

Or

Associate’s Degree in Information Technology related field plus four (4) years of experience as a Network Engineer or in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities.

Or

Ten (10) years of experience as a Network Engineer or in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
CCNA or CCNP
Network+
Security+

Primary Functions:
Design, install and maintain voice, data and technology infrastructure equipment, software and services. Develop and maintain detailed topology documentation for the same. Implement critical technology infrastructure projects; collaborate with users and vendors to coordinate implementation of the same. Review and analyse technology procurement plans to ensure compliance and compatibility with current policies and infrastructure. Research and recommend new technology to reduce costs and gain efficiencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Analyzes, evaluates and prepares written cost estimates for technology equipment, software and services.

Analyzes, evaluates and prepares written reports recommending the purchase, installation, and maintenance of voice, data, LAN, WAN, Security equipment and related software and services.

Responsible for the installation and standardization of all Network Equipment, Software and Services.

Responsible for segmentation and security of designated networks using VLANs and Access-Control Lists (ACLs).

Responsible for implementing and maintaining Network Routing Protocols: BGP/OSPF

Create and maintain detailed network diagrams and documentation for all network services including but not limited to: Equipment inventory, physical and logical connections, work flow, vendor connections, wireless connections etc.

Work with SCU team members and vendors to establish secure connectivity to support various services.

Administer and assist with enhancement and optimization of enterprise voice system.

Work Schedule:
Full Time - Monday through Sunday.
Overtime and weekends as necessary.

Location:
Edwardsville, Illinois Headquarters; However, work location may change according to SCU staffing needs.

Salary Range:
$2,587.20 bi-weekly - $3,371.20 bi-weekly
