A Day in the Life of a Financial Analyst:
This position is responsible for compiling, analyzing, trending, tracking, and interpreting financial data in order to develop, implement and improve corporate revenue reporting objectives, business solutions, and to provide process improvement recommendations. The Analyst will interact with other departments as required and will assist all Managers and Directors within the Finance department.

Responsibilities
Compile, analyze, and reconcile all forms of payments received by each Managed Care Entity under the Caidan Management umbrella including:
Medicaid Payments
Medicare Payments
Maternity Case Rate Payments
Commercial Exchange Payments from CMS & Member Paid Premiums
Coordination with Executive Team to report payment discrepancies to proper channels
Completion of monthly deliverables to Accounting department
Completion of special projects related to revenue optimization
Standardization and automation of all reports
Perform impact analysis of state capitation rate changes
Calculate internal risk scores for Meridian membership; analyze and benchmark against state provided risk scores
Support Manager and Team Lead with capitation analysis, ad hoc reports, and other job functions as needed
Provide analytical support/assistance to internal departments including:
Using drill down and root cause methodologies to review data, identifying opportunities for improvement of internal operations relating to enrollment
Serve as application resource expert for revenue management and function as principal communication coordinator with IT
Develop and present statistical analysis and summary data to internal customers
Development and implementation of reporting processes to support Claims Department
Identify and use appropriate software applications to produce custom reports from administrative databases including graphical representations as needed (extraction, verification, transformation and presentation of data)
Develop ad-hoc reports as needed
Document procedures in all areas
Qualifications

What you can bring to Meridian:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Managed Care or equivalent training is required
Experience in a health care setting is desired
Experience in using PC-based software packages, including Excel, word processing is required
Knowledge of managed care principles and procedures
Knowledge of data integrity issues
Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
Organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
