The Senior Staff Nurse provides professional nursing care to all people of all ages and their families. Utilizes knowledge of nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care. The position formulates nursing diagnosis for treating actual or potential health problems, teaching, counseling and providing care. Delegates appropriate tasks to Staff Nurses and assistive nursing personnel. Displays professional practice as set forth in The Brooklyn Hospital Center's standard of care, and the institution's mission and goals.
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited colleges or universities.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited colleges or universities - Highly Preferred
One (1) to three (3) years critical care and medical/surgical nursing care experiences.
New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
