Viva Center Clinical Internship Program
The Viva Center is an empowerment-based group practice of trauma-informed therapists who work to promote mental and emotional health within their clients and overall well being of the DC community. The Viva Center’s services include advanced therapeutic techniques such as psychodynamic therapies, brain-based therapies, mindfulness-based therapies, expressive therapies, energy therapies, and more.
Viva also offers an array of services to support the healing professional: networking events, post-graduate trainings, affiliate opportunities, workshop space, collaborative relationships and continuing education.
The Viva Clinical Internship Program : The clinical internship program at the Viva Center offers an individual the opportunity to serve as an integral member of the Viva Center Clinical Team. Viva’s clinical team works to provide ongoing support to clinical associates for operational needs, as well as training and supervision opportunities to strengthen their mental health practice. Interns will be directly assisting the clinical team with an assortment of administrative and clinically-based tasks to contribute to the successful functioning of the clinical program at Viva.
Who we are looking for: The Viva Center clinical team is interested in recruiting students who possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, strive to grow and learn, are self-starters as well as team players, and have a significant interest in trauma-informed, empowerment-based mental health practices.
Hours of work: 10-20 hours per week (Tuesday-Friday between 9am and 5pm)

- Maintenance and organization of Viva’s electronic medical record
- Assistance with referral management
- Troubleshooting client billing
- Maintenance and organization of client insurance submission requests
- Marketing support for upcoming clinical trainings and workshops
- Final clinical practicum presentation and application
- Attendance at weekly clinical meetings
- Additional tasks as needed
- Numerous Educational Opportunities to learn about Brain, Body-Based, and other Therapies
- Monthly Trauma-informed Yoga
- Networking Opportunities and Events
