As an Audio Video Technician, you will work in our Quality Assurance (QA) Lab helping us to maintain our competitive edge as a leading innovator in consumer electronics. This is a very important role in the organization. You will test TVs, Blu-ray players, sound bars and other Samsung (and competitor) products. You’ll review the products for quality and a competitive edge, ultimately helping us identify areas for improvement. We’re looking for someone who has hands-on experience evaluating, developing and or installing audio and video/television products. It will be your job to use these products as both consumer and technical expert by assessing video/picture quality, sound quality, UX (usability and ergonomics) and operability. You may also have to travel visiting design, manufacturing and development facilities.
Rôle et Responsabilités

Performance and quality assurance testing
Recommend improvements in product quality and performance through testing, comparison and research.
Manage sample inventory system including the shipping and disposing of test samples
Actively maintain and update technical expertise on new products and technology by attending product related media events, technical seminars or external training
Communicate with media and other outlets including PR about Samsung products and technology
Oversight of lab infrastructure, maintaining existing systems for operability and be proactive in implementing solutions for improvement when the need arises

Compétences et Qualifications

2 or 4 year degree preferred.
2 to 5 years of related experience in manufacturing, retail or customer service preferably in a role where you were designing, installing, selling and or evaluating electronics.
Ability to evaluate TVs, audio/video systems, and related electronics and determining performance quality, usability and design
Knowledge of key Picture quality aspects for display products
Knowledge of audio and audio engineering with an ability to judge sound quality
Familiar with basic, industry measurement devices and systems related to product testing, display product calibration, and/or measurement systems
Proficient in Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Proven ability to analyze information and data; perform detailed “root cause” analysis to discover new and innovative ways to improve product performance.
Ability to write clear and concise reports, often for non-English speaking or ESL customers or counterparts
Ability to operate with a “customer service” mentality with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
Fluency in both Korean and English preferred but not required
