The Role:
We are seeking an individual to join our Operations team as an Event Producer. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and have advanced skills using tools like MS Word, Excel, Google products, and other standard office equipment. Proven experience as an event producer is preferred.
The Virtual Producer works with Arbinger colleagues in various departments to make sure Arbinger’s training events run smoothly. This is a flexible position so hours each week may vary though we will work to provide scheduled events at least one to two weeks in advance. This is a fully remote position.
This aspect of the position at Arbinger ensures virtually facilitated events run smoothly for the clients and facilitators. This role requires the candidate to:
- Act as a Producer for virtually facilitated events.
- Run virtual breakout rooms, taking attendance, light troubleshooting on Zoom or Teams.
- Be available 5:00am-5:00pm MST with other times outside these hours on occasion and with advance notice.
- Have a quiet space free from distractions and strong internet connection is required.
- Supply your own computer and have ready access to a backup computer.
- Coordinate with the Events Calendar – which schedules various resources such as virtual producers, studios, facilitators, materials, and equipment
Skills Needed:
- Aptitude to keep track of many interlocking business processes and ensure efficient operation
- Computer savvy (Will use MS Excel, Asana, Salesforce, and fulfillment platforms)
- Demonstrated knack for getting things done efficiently and without direction
- Proven ability to be cool under pressure when things go wrong
- Audio/Visual technical experience a plus
Equipment Requirements:
Main Computer:
- 1.8GHz or faster processor for Microsoft Windows 10/11, Mac OS X 10.9 or above (No Chromebook, Linux or other operating systems are acceptable)
- 8GB of RAM or more
- Backup Computer: Must meet the computer requirements listed above
Internet:
- Bandwith: 600kbps Minimum Download, 100kbps Upload
- Connection: Broadband wired or a wireless reliable Wi-fi connection
Hardware:
- Additional Computer Monitor(s):1 additional monitor is required, it is recommended that you have a total of three
- Microphone: Ether built-in, USB plug, wireless, or a part of the headset
- Webcam:If you do not have a clear background you will either blur your backround or use a virtual background
- Contingency for power outages (i.e. small generator, battery back-up and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities from phone or tablet)
Salary: DOE, Contracted
Schedule: Variable. Generally, hours are M-F, 5:00am- 5:00pm MST. Some work may be required outside of these days/times. You will have your schedule at minimum a week in advance.
