We currently have an opening in Los Angeles, CA office for an Assistant Project Manager in our Construction Management division to work on aviation projects.
Assist with the monthly CPM schedule updates and narratives.
Reviewing and processing submittals to achieve the project schedule in accordance with the contract documents.
Maintain a complete and current record of submittals, approvals, and re-submittals summarized in the “Submittal Log”.
Expediting the material deliveries of subcontractors and vendors in accordance with the CPM schedule and coordinated with the Project Team.
Material Receiving – Be sure that material is properly inspected for quantity and quality. Ensure that all material is in conformance with the contract documents and approved submittals.
Management of the RFI Process and ensuring the drawings are posted and up to date.
Assist in subcontractor preconstruction meetings.
Safety Planning and Performance – Actively engaged in the SOS Program.
Participation in the S&P Quality Control Program.
Cost Control – Manage specific budgets within the cost control.
Accumulate all necessary data for monthly owner and subcontractor pay apps, as assigned.
Assist with management of field initiated purchasing.
Assist with production analysis studies.
Closing out the project in accordance with the contract documents and company policy.
Assist in change management process.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, Certification:
B.A. or B.S.in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture, or equivalent experience.
Previous construction experience and/or applicable internships preferred.
Scheduling and estimating experience preferred.
Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
Effective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skills.
