CARD is looking for a Director of Training to train administrative staff and medical operations managers for over 256 locations nationwide.

CARD was founded in 1990 by leading autism expert and clinical psychologist Doreen Granpeesheh, PhD, BCBA-D. The Director of Operations Training is responsible for teaching and training employees and ensuring that they stay competent and skilled for their jobs. This position will design and oversee all learning and development programs for administrative and managerial staff. The Director of Operations Training will have responsibilities that include identifying training needs based on skills gap analyses, developing group and individual learning courses and managing the training budget. To be successful in this role, this individual should have solid experience organizing trainings, overseeing a group of regional trainers and designing the leadership and management curriculum.

  • Design and deliver a comprehensive learning and development strategy and programs
  • Manage and oversee the development and implementation of course training materials to reflect current operating processes and procedures
  • Must be able to organize content in a meaningful way to teach employees crucial knowledge, skills and abilities required for job success
  • Drive high employee engagement and identify strategies to retain top talent
  • Partner with leadership and all departments to develop and maintain a repository of training
  • Create a material refresh process for updates based on feedback and industry changes/trends
  • Use various instructional methods to deliver content, including lecture, demonstrations, small group activities, and videos and other methodologies as appropriate
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of and adherence to compliance and legal standards
  • Implement and schedule training programs, follow up with stakeholders to ensure completion and documentation of scheduled training programs
  • Serve as a strong and resourceful leader
  • Develop trainings to create and maintain a positive culture at satellite centers
  • Train administrative staff on employee relations including recruiting and retention
  • The continuous identification implementation of operational best practice through interaction with the wider team


  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience as a training director
  • Healthcare business management background preferred
  • Proven experience leading large-scale training and leadership development tracks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership, people management and communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
