Luminous Solar is a Commercial Solar Finance Specialist. We have positioned ourself in the Commercial Solar place as the only Finance provider that can offer a Capital Lease, Operating Lease, Traditional Loan, Real Estate Refinance for solar, and Traditional PPA. We have in house finance offerings that are not available anywhere else in the US and need RSM's to take our product to market.

Luminous Solar is a place where Commercial Solar Regional Sales Managers can thrive and grow into being regional players in their market. Being a national company with installation partners in many of the “Solar hot beds” throughout the country has positioned Luminous Solar to have competitive and unique, proprietary commercial finance offerings to meet our customers’ needs. Through tailored PPA’s and ESA’s to traditional institutional financing we can get your commercial solar project financed! Furthermore, Luminous Solar specializes in USDA grants for farmers and small businesses who are looking to change the world by reducing their environmental impact through Solar and CHP (cogeneration) energy solutions. Luminous Solar is not a “solar broker” or installer, we are a solar financier who chooses to deliver our customized commercial financing solutions directly to our customers. Luminous Solar has developed an offering through USDA grants and our finance programs that no other solar company has available! Competition is virtually non existent and our farm and small business customers are an untouched market.

The ideal candidate for this position brings an enthusiasm for learning and a consultative sales approach along with a desire to grow their territory. Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet and exceed objectives by creating and executing sales strategy to expand market share and maximizing revenue growth in assigned territory.
  • Generate, develop and qualify leads and prospects through cold-calling and other lead generation activities.
  • Must be able to properly conduct Commercial site assessments in order to align the customer’s needs with a real life solution.
  • Develop sales presentation collateral and project proposals that include marketing, technical and financial information to close key contracts.
  • Review, filter and track new and existing sales opportunities in CRM system.
  • Work with marketing to develop effective product collateral and marketing activities to support sales.
  • Document, report on and maintain records on sales activities.
  • Attend and participate in company meetings and events.

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or, other related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4 years experience in sales/territory management, preferably in the energy, utility, or other related industry.
  • Proven experience developing new relationships with decision makers.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment.
  • The successful candidate should demonstrate prior ability to obtain business results by working in a B2B consultative sales environment.
  • Excellent analytical ability and strong communication skills, with the ability to create and present compelling proposals.
  • Strong organization skills detailed and process orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Skilled in the use and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and can travel within your region/territory, as required to cultivate new business.
  • 50% prospecting, 30% proposal/ offering development, 10% shepherding project to regional installation partner, 10% communication and follow up through the finance cycle to insure substantial product delivery.
