Paragon Bioservices, Inc. (PBI) is a growing Biotech Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) with an internationally recognized tradition of quality and service. Paragon Bioservices provides process development and GMP manufacturing services for Phase I/II clinical trials to industry leaders as well as innovative start-ups utilizing novel technologies to produce state-of-the-art vaccines and therapies for people when they are most in need. As a PBI employee, you will actively contribute to the delivery of our services and products to our customers and their patients.

The Sr. Director, Marketing & Communications will be responsible for market research, market analytics and competitive intelligence, branding, advertising and promotion, and market analysis. Able to understand the Contract Development & Manufacturing (CDMO) space and Paragon’s positioning within that space and be able to create the marketing strategy that creates a strong position within the market.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and manage all marketing activities.
Work in a team-based environment assisting in the development of strategies and leading implementation of tactics to maximize
sales, market share, and profitability
Brand management.
Masters and is responsible for all core marketing responsibilities and business processes.
Ensures optimization of brand P&L.
Builds and develops a high-performing brand strategy and team to support all branding efforts.
Build current and future competitive advantage by understanding & addressing key clients’ needs, and by demonstrating deep
understanding of competitors’ strategies.
Develop internal and external client relationships that successfully drive business objectives.
Ensure timely guidance to senior management regarding the strategy and key brands.
Supports the development of the strategic business plan while responsible for the organization and synthesis of the tactical
Responsible for segmentation/targeting/positioning.
Partner with cross-functional groups to ensure integration and consistency of professional business strategies and regulatory compliance of promotional materials.
Understands trends in the marketplace impacting professional marketing using data driven strategic insights to apply on an on-going basis to the marketing plan.
Operates quickly and decisively in a fast-paced, demanding launch environment.
Manage consultants/agencies for key projects.
Establish a productive work environment by creating trust and respect within the company.
Balance business priorities and resources, adapting to the external and internal environment.
Position requires excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills to understand scientific and financial data, recognize key
issues, establish priorities, and prepare high-level presentations for senior executive staff review.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities – could eventually lead a small team.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Degree field should be in a business or marketing field however will consider others
10 years experience in a Marketing role in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology organization required; experience in a contract organization (CRO/CMO/CDMO) required.
Domestic and European marketing and communications experience required
Experience leading others is crucial
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with and managing multiple external agencies including advertising, digital, external and internal partners.
Demonstrated understanding of principles of market research to draw valid conclusions.
Demonstrated ability to influence and manage a complex set of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong executive presence and leadership skills.
Capable of attracting and developing world-class talent.
Strong communication and negotiating skills required.
Travel 25% or more
