Summary: Responsible for the transportation management of finished goods, raw materials and (WIP) intermediates from Plant/Sourcing down to the final mile delivery. Responsible for management of logistics programs and projects for SBUs or product lines in America’s regions. Operates independently using a logistics/quality infrastructure for corrective, preventative and innovative solutions. This individual will also be accountable for ensuring consistency of processes, scorecards and KPIs across the U.S. and the America’s region. This includes facilitating best practices and idea sharing as well within the region and across the globe.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manage finished good inventory levels, and establish service levels for product groups.
  • Ensures collaborative compliance with all Baxter and International Trade and export compliance rules and regulations.
  • Optimizes the America’s transportation of all products and channels; including replenishment & B2B/B2C distribution.
  • Monitor, measure and identifies performance requirements of service providers.
  • Develop and present policy along with short and long-term strategies to senior management to achieve budget requirements.
  • Provide input on long-term strategic goals such as customer satisfaction/cash flow improvement programs.
  • Exert influence with senior management and manage activities of logistics planning/analyst team.

8. Accountable for value improvement initiatives and budgeted spend across the categories of Replenishment & Distribution to end customer.
9. Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong leadership skills including leading projects with broad scope and impact outside own department and promotes teamwork between departments
  • Complete, in-depth understanding of all aspects of the business including profitability, inventory turns and service levels
  • Strong communication skills (with staff, peers, and upper management) and ability to develop rapport with other functional leaders inside Baxter and Supply base
  • Ability to do analysis of tradeoffs between business objectives - ability to think systemically

Educational Requirements include: BS in Operational/Logistics or similar degree; at least 7 years related experience. APICS certification preferred.

Position will be located in Round Lake, IL and Deerfield, IL locations
