Position Overview:
The Fleet Evaluation Specialist is a contract role responsible for assessing the fleet capabilities of potential acquisition targets in the tree care industry. This role involves conducting comprehensive due diligence to evaluate the operational efficiency, maintenance practices, and overall condition of the fleet assets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fleet management, a strong understanding of the tree care or similar industry, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and Execute a Repeatable Evaluation Process:
Develop and implement a standardized process for evaluating the condition of tree care fleet and equipment, including but not limited to:
- Reviewing the latest fixed asset detail list and confirming all vehicles and equipment are onsite.
- Inspecting all fleet and equipment and providing an evaluation of the condition of the equipment (5=Excellent / 1=Poor).
- Collecting all maintenance and repair records.
- Meeting with onsite employee(s) most responsible for fleet and equipment oversight and discussing processes for managing and maintaining all fleet and equipment.
Due Diligence:
- Participate in the due diligence process for mergers and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze relevant data on fleet assets.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations based on the findings.
Fleet Assessment:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of the fleet assets of potential acquisition targets.
- Assess the condition, utilization, and maintenance practices of fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities related to fleet operations.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze fleet performance metrics, maintenance records, and operational data.
- Evaluate the financial implications of fleet-related issues and opportunities.
- Utilize data-driven insights to support decision-making during the M&A process.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks related to fleet operations, including compliance, safety, and financial risks.
- Provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks and improving fleet performance.
Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive reports on fleet evaluation findings.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and the M&A team.
- Ensure all reports and analyses are accurate, thorough, and timely.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in fleet management, preferably within tree care or related industry.
- Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, utilization, and operational Best practice.
- Experience in conducting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple evaluations simultaneously.
Skills:
- Proficiency in fleet management software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the industry.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $800.00 - $1,000.00 per day
