We are seeking a bright, detail-oriented, creative, and compassionate person to join our law firm to help us realize our vision of helping more people! Below is more information about the requirements, qualifications, and job duties associated with the position, which we are calling our Director of First Impressions.
Our Director of First Impressions will ensure that the firm is always putting its best foot forward for potential new clients. The position will entail both marketing and sales responsibilities.
We need a team member who can take control of the front-end client experience by directing leads to our office,performing an initial consultation, getting the prospective client to engage the firm, and then on-board the person as a client of the firm. You will also work closely with other members of the team to develop marketing strategies that ensure we are reaching our target audience.
Some key responsibilities include:
Conduct initial client consultations to sell legal services
Convey confidence that we can help potential clients with their needs
Oversee the smooth transition of new cases to the legal team
Follow up with potential new clients who have not yet retained us
Maintain a tracking system to monitor leads, new clients, and referral sources
Work with the owner on sales goals that line up with the firm’s growth goals
Develop and execute approved marketing plans
Develop and maintain marketing materials & supplementary materials such as fact sheets, brochures, newsletters, etc
Our ideal candidate will:
Understand how to build a relationship with a person and how to interact with different types of personalities
Show empathy to potential clients and put them at ease during a difficult time
Know how to close a sale by creating urgency and promoting value
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills
Think on their toes and won’t get discouraged when things don’t go as planned
Be willing and able to quickly learn about new topics (like the criminal justice system)
Treat a call or meeting at 4:30 on a Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning
Follow instructions and understand the importance of policies and procedures
Be a team player that consistently acts with respect and integrity
Be proficient with computers, office software, social media, web-based programs, and phone systems
Have sales and marketing experience
Legal experience not required
We are looking for a team player with the empathy, creativity, and organization to help us expand our business. The person we hire must bring a high level of energy, positivity, and can-do attitude to work every day. If you prefer to be a lone wolf or feel uncomfortable sharing your knowledge, this job is not for you.
We need someone who truly understands what it means that everyone accused of a crime is truly innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. If you think criminal defense clients “get off based on technicalities,” then do not apply. We do not believe the constitution is a technicality.
