Job Responsibilities:
Prepare complex individual and business income tax returns, including consolidated, multi-tiered, and multi-state tax returns
Maintain client adherence to compliance related deadlines such as extensions, tax estimate requirements and tax return filings
Respond to regulatory notices on behalf of clients
Recommend tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues
Identify areas of tax savings for individuals and businesses
Perform accounting services including bookkeeping system set up and financial statement preparation
Communicate and effectively work with IRS auditors
Develop strong working relationships with clients built around a clear understanding of their business goals, specific needs and expectations
Handle routine client questions, and work with clients to obtain necessary information for financials and tax return completion
Perform other job related duties as needed including audit, reviews, and compilations

Requirements:
3-5 years of current tax preparation experience of private companies, high net-worth individuals, trusts & not-for-profit entities in a public accounting firm
1-3 years of experience in audit, reviews and compilations at a public accounting firm
Not-for-profit and/or trust & estate experience preferred
Certified Public Accountant or candidate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, advanced degree preferred
Proficiency in CCH Prosystems fx Tax, Engagement, Fixed Assets and QuickBooks
Positive attitude with excellent project management, interpersonal and communication skills
