TomTom is looking for a Business Development Manager to join the Enterprise Business Development Team in San Jose, CA. This is a proactive client facing team responsible for identifying and developing new high-value, long-term partnerships and business opportunities for BU Enterprise.

As a Business Development Manager your time will be split between managing senior client engagements and identifying new ones. You will manage, negotiate and close partnerships with targeted clients and prospects of the Business Development team. You will own and identify new opportunities by assessing industry developments, determining TomTom competitive position and developing value propositions for growth of BU Enterprise.


University degree (Masters title, MBA preferred)
3+ Years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Development or Sales
Skills and experience in targeting and managing one or more clients, including account identification and growth
Expertise in sourcing and closing new clients, evangelizing, and understanding the market
Practical experience in setting up deals and developing a negotiation strategy
Ability to think both wide and deep with a highly analytical, solution-focused mindset and a self-starting attitude
Confidence in your original ideas and the ability to bring them to life
Experience with SaaS and Cloud Services, such as Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, AWS, Microsoft, IBM preferred
Great communication skills allowing efficient communication in English with colleagues and external partners located on site and world wide
Achievement-mindset with ability to learn and take on new responsibilities rapidly
Excellent presentation skills being able to translate complex concepts in easy-to-understand stories and proposals
Ability to travel up to 30% of your time domestically and internationally
