Eagle Rock is a private equity real estate firm, headquartered in New York City with its management company based in Long Island. The firm owns and operates over 6,000 garden-style apartments located throughout New York, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The management company is solely focused on Eagle Rock-owned assets and does not third party manage. We are seeking a Senior Property accountant with a minimum of 3-5 years experience:

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on accounting experience journal entries, sub-ledger analysis, and communication with operational divisions
  • Prepare accruals, pre-paid and other journal entries as required
  • Monthly, quarterly and year end closing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience required
  • Real Estate residential experience a must
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Must be a team-player having the ability to multi-task and is self-directed
  • Must be deadline focused, organized, and exhibit problem-solving skills. Able to handle multiple deadlines at the same time
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary
  • Strong skills in MS Outlook, Word and Excel required
  • Excellent communication skills, personal and written
  • Industry experience: Real Estate or Property Management is a plus
